In the morning, the bed feels just right,
The alarm rings, but I hit snooze with all my might.
I stretch, I roll, then close my eyes,
Letting the day slip by with no goodbyes.
The dishes are waiting, the floor’s a sight,
But moving for them just doesn’t feel right.
A cup of coffee calls my name,
But still, I linger, in this same old game.
The chores are there, giving me a glare,
But I’m too cozy to even care.
The world keeps spinning, work to be done,
But I’m having a nap—I’m winning this one!
I know I should move, get up, and go,
But why rush when I can take it slow?
The day can wait, it’s not a race,
Laziness has found its place.
So, I’ll tackle things tomorrow, I swear,
But today, I’m just too aware.
Of how great it is to take a break,
And leave responsibility for later’s sake!
